My Path to the Heart

I didn’t always live this way.
There was a time when I was deeply angry & sorrowful at the world. And yet—something in me remembered that under the right conditions, nature heals.
And that’s exactly what I needed.

In 2018, broken open by the state of the world, I found myself living in Guatemala. That’s where I first connected with ceremonial cacao.
In many ways, she called me forward.
Without fully realizing what was happening, I began learning from master teachers, including Mayan elders, about cacao and the heart’s capacity for deep wisdom. It changed everything.

In 2019, I co-founded Cacao Source, working alongside Mayan farmers and women’s collectives to source organic, regenerative cacao and share it with healing spaces around the world.
Cacao became a permission slip—an invitation for my truest Self to return to my body. I found myself teaching about ecology, creating sacred space, and weaving connections between the ancient forests, the farmers, the medicine, and the people awakening to it.

I will forever be grateful to the Mayan people and the land of Lake Atitlán for holding me through such a profound chapter of transformation.

Coming Home, Again

In 2022, life brought me back to the United States with a clear vision:
to share cacao and the profound teachings of the heart.

That vision brought blessings and also intense initiation.
Old patterns resurfaced. My foundation wobbled. I knew I needed deeper support to anchor my power and purpose into the present moment.

That’s when I discovered somatic healing.
It was like a second awakening—one that brought me back home to myself in a new way.

Why Somatics

Somatics has been just as transformative to my life as cacao.
It works on every level—from ancestral patterns and trauma to the embodied alignment required to call in new experiences.

Somatic healing speaks the language of the body:
emotions, sensations, breath, posture, and imagination.
It is a tool of profound emotional intelligence—and I believe it will change the world.

I believe in the marriage of science and spirit.
I’m thrilled to see how much research now validates what the heart has always known. Life should feel a bit like a science experiment: with every moment of awareness, we have a new opportunity to shift the outcome.
